What is “Meaningful Biblical Truth with Purpose”?

Meaningful Biblical Truth with Purpose is truth that grows your faith for eternal life from the encouraging truth found in God’s Word the Bible.

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Who is God?

We need to look in God’s Word the Holy Bible for the answer. When we look at the very first verse of the Bible, it says that God created the heaven and the earth.

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

Additionally, the Bible says God created man.

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7

So, God is our creator. As well as creator of all things.

What else does the Bible say about God?

For one thing, the Bible says, “God is love.”

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1 John 4:16

And when we continue to search the Bible, we will discover more about the character God.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: For all his ways are judgment: A God of truth and without iniquity, Just and right is he.

Deuteronomy 32:4

Furthermore, the Bible says God’s Word is true.

160 Thy word is true from the beginning: And every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Psalm 119:160

These are just a sampling of “who God is” that can be found in both the Old and New Testament of the Bible. Moreover God has sent His Son Jesus Christ to show us God’s character and to redeem us from our sins, so that we may have eternal life.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

John 17:3

Who is Jesus Christ?

Here are a few verses about Jesus Christ the Son of God.

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Colossians 1:14-16

How did we get the Bible?

The entire Bible was “given by inspiration of God”.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Furthermore, the Bible was written by “holy men of God”.

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 1:20-21

How do we grow in the Word of God?

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called  in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Colossians 3:12-17
